Delhi, you disappoint!
Delhi disappoints and how! What is wrong with people in Delhi? What are these barbaric acts for? Who are they showing their machoism and what are they proving? By killing an innocent person from North East, what did you get? What kind of cops are there in Delhi? Why are there no rules in Delhi? Agree that Delhi was the land of Kurukshetra and lot of killing has always taken place there over the years. Apparently the energy of the city is so bad that all become corrupt and angry. By astrological inference, Delhi and Punjab's planetary position is such that it makes them aggressive people. That is why there are more people from Punjab in the Armed Forces than say from Gujarat. Courage and valour are good qualities. Killing your own countrymen with brute force is definitely not. I know so many people in the corporate world, who will take a transfer anywhere in India but not to Delhi. I remember the aggression and sweet talking of my Delhi colleagues vis a vis colleagues from any other city. At all my jobs, this experience continued. After being born and brought up in Bihar, I am more North Indian in my thoughts and manners than I realise, but this killing and treating people so badly is disgusting. A friend from Darjeeling came to Mumbai. She has had people calling her "Chinky" which means someone from China. She has actually slapped people and told them she is an Indian. Why has Congress party kept the North Eastern states so aloof? Why do our History books, again the syllabus set as per the Congress government as they have been ruling for the last 50 years or more, not have any history on North Eastern states? Why is there no integration with all our states?
I remember in my college hostel, I saw people from North Eastern states for the first time. In Dhanbad, I only knew any one like that as a "Nepali" or belonging to Nepal. In the hostel, they were called " Chinkies" and I never knew what it meant. I thought this was a very hep and cool name for them. Recently read an article about how there is mass conversion of them in NorthEast to Christianity and how they have almost lost all their rich cultural heritage. Now some scholars of North Eastern origin are trying to piece their history and culture together. The people there feel they do not belong to India or China or the West and are made to feel different everywhere.
In Delhi, AAP is equally disappointing and its only agenda is to cut into the BJP vote bank. AAP will never go against the Congress anywhere. No action so far taken against the corrupt Congress government which was in Delhi for so many years. AAP has barely established themselves that they want to spread thin in all states where Congress is doing badly, to cut on BJP votes. The Indian political scenario is disgusting. I really had some hopes on AAP. But AAP can't remove this deep seated venom and aggression the Delhites have. This aggression is to be handled at the child level by mothers and fathers. They have to be sensitive to gender equality and treat their children to respect people irrespective of caste, creed and origin. The Nirbhaya rape case, the so called minor rapist was the cruellest as said by Nirbhaya s friend who was an eye witness to the entire horrendous crime. Unless laws are strict, this shall continue. It is only in India, we have so much freedom. People live in fear in Dubai as the laws are so strict. Everything works smooth but you better watch out in Dubai. Do we want our laws to be so strict? In the name of secularism, are we giving birth to more terrorists?
Want to give you an example of school children. Heard some kids talk that "some things are not their jobs, their wives and servants will do it." Wives and servants said in the same breath! Moms and Dads, Granpas and Grandmas, Uncles n Aunts, Are you listening to the type of evil you are raising as a child? I see aggressive school moms fighting with other moms and in all cases the aggressive school moms are mothers of only sons. These women already think they have done a great deal by producing a son/ sons and expect the world to accord them their due respect. How do you expect these sons to grow up and treat women? Theses boys have been taught to disrespect women by their mothers and fathers.
I would not like to blame the parents for faults of adults. Adults know what is right and wrong. No society pressurises you to fight, hit and kill. This kind of inhuman acts are to be blamed on the individuals. This happens in Mumbai too. The other day, I was traveling by cab. The cab driver was an old gentleman and a careful driver. He was going at a normal speed. Two bikers were in a rush to each somewhere. They abused the cabbie by calling him an Old Pimp in Hindi. I was so hurt. I just turned around and asked them "Bakwas mat karo". I think they abused me too but but that time my cab was far to hear them. This was in broad daylight in Bandra on Linking road by two college kids with no helmets. The cabbie kept quiet, did not react and continued driving at his pace. I was fuming that he must be getting this reaction from so many youngsters in a tearing hurry. I felt sad for the old cabbie and I felt scared for myself. Mumbai is getting aggressive too and for all the wrong reasons.
