Inspiration

He lost his father within the first two years of his birth. His mom a widow at 21, now had a six month old and a two year old to raise. He grew up in a joint family. His grandparents, his Uncle, father s elder brother and their family. Lone widow just when India had got Independence, felt totally bound by the society norms. She did not go back to her parents. Her parents had enough children of their own. She stayed and worked hard in the joint family. She became an ace cook and a fast one. She catered to her in laws and their whims and fancies. In return, she and her children got a roof over their heads and food, clothing lodging. More important, she had a house and a family in the eyes of the society. This protected her from the evil eyes. She worked hard to raise her children well. The boys grew up with three cousins.
He had good looks and charm. He was good in his studies. He had a fair share of friends. By now, the Uncle decided to move out with his family as families were growing. He was given a shop to manage and zero bank balance. He worked hard. Taught his brother business. The brothers got along and the business prospered. The business had some setbacks. All their children were growing together well. It was too good to be true. The brother s wife passed away. He and his wife didn't think twice about taking on the responsibility of the brother and his children. They overcame the tragedy, moved houses, all bound by oneness.
He traveled a lot, fell sick once a year for about a week with his back pain. Rest of the time, he had all the energy to travel on work and go places. He got his brother s children married before his own.The business stopped doing well. The money was fast disappearing. They were incurring debts. He still got the brother s youngest child married. He sold off his dream house n moved to a rented place. The brother moved with his son n daughter in law.
Things went a bit sour between the brothers due to money issues. He did not give up his responsibilities about his brother s children. He even took on all debts and agreed to pay the people. He moved out of his town. He waited and went thru a bad health patch. He overcame that and at sixty years of age started a new business in a new city. He repayed all the loans. He got his own office and new staff. He has started anew.
I am inspired. How much more objective can one be of one's own father?
